Two lovely hilltop little towns at once

Volterra, with its winding streets, still has the Etruscan walls, imposing medieval fortifications and remains dating back to the Romans. San Gimignano is a picturesque town characterized by very old towers, hence the nickname “the medieval Manhattan of Tuscany”. This excursion is a jump into the Middle Ages!
