I personally love this town! The historical center looks almost totally red, due to its typical medieval architecture made of bricks. You'll be amazed by the stunning Cathedral and the peculiar shape of Piazza del Campo, the main square of Siena, famous in Italy for the “Palio” which is a one-of-a-kind horse race. Siena is divided into 17 “contrade” that stands for district, symbolizing the traditional rivalry among the residents that can be felt even at the present day.
